Some packaging inspiration for the new RFF brew

Tuesday, August 3rd, 2010

I’ve been pondering some unique way to present the beer I’ve been brewing. This one’s already taken obviously, still I don’t know if i would have got there myself anyway.

‘(Gary McCormick)… the ‘John Travolta’ of New Zealand Poetry’ - The Listener, 1980

FROM NZONSCREEN WEBSITE

Artists Prepare, Sam Hunt and Gary McCormick (click to view)
Short Film, 1980

Surely the precursor to NZ’s hottest export FOTC, the Hunt / McCormick duet live the life even moreso than Jermaine and Bret. Surpassing the PG rating, Artists Prepare takes a joyride with two dashingly charismatic quintessential thespians in full flight…

‘We’ve gotta worry bout the second half…. we’ve shot our load so to speak, well at least I have’ - G. MCCORMICK

The bygone era of poetry, pubs and unbridled flamboyance. When leopard print was not an option, but a necessity. The tight black jeans are back, but wheres the honest alcoholism and womanizing?

Hunt / MCormick icons of extroversion.

‘YEKPARE’ (monolithic) from nerdworking on Vimeo.

ISTANBUL - Haydarpaşa Train Station, on the side Anatolian of the Bosphorus, gets a virtual facelift thanks to video artist Deniz Kader. The German built Haydarpaşa Garı (1908) served as a link in the Berlin to Baghdad line that the Empire was so keen to complete. Here it gets a technicolour makeover and symbolic demolition akin to the current goings on at the respective ends of that now forgotten line.
