Ryan McGinley shows a new series of photographs, which has an otherworldy feel with nostalgic 70’s lighting and his token nakedness. A formula that surprisingly works real well.

pxl2000-3

Athough this may lower the chances of me ever owning one of these cameras, it may heighten the chance of getting the use of one.

They say don’t work with kids or animals when it comes to film, so Fisher Price and rivals Tyco took it upon themselves in the mid 90’s to put ‘em behind the camera instead. The Fischer Price PLX2000 and the TYCO TVC8000 are fast becoming hot cinefile property.

A Black and White format with Blacked out border is the aesthetic they produce with audio also.  See it with your own eyes here.

matt1

Matt O’dell’s maquettes of disasters and presentations of conspiracy theories are poetic and completely still. Even though some of his works have sound, they come across as silent. He takes one step back and explores events that through media become world events in meticulous and time consuming constructions .

Matt O’dell is part of the exhibition spy numbers which succeeds in mystery, go over to wmmna to check it out.
